The medieval church of St Mary the Virgin stands alone in the fields of Apuldram parish, between Fishbourne and the harbour shore. The church has a Norman font and medieval fabric, and the building retains a remarkable simplicity. The isolated setting, with views across farmland to the harbour, makes it one of the most atmospheric small churches in Sussex.
